Frequently Asked Questions

And some frank answers.

General Questions

  • I help founders, solo entrepreneurs, and small businesses clarify their brand, position themselves in the market, and create visibility strategies that get results. This can include brand strategy, market entry plans, public relations, and more. See my services.

  • Brand strategy is about defining where you fit in the market and how you’ll stand out. The first step in getting it right is a competitive landscape audit - your competitors shape your unique value proposition, positioning, messaging, audience, and market approach.

Branding, on the other hand, is the visual expression of that strategy - your logo, colors, fonts, and design.

You need both, but strategy must come first. Otherwise, you risk launching the equivalent of a “McDowel’s” hamburger joint with a big yellow M… and wondering why the branding didn’t bring success.

  • Both and more. My work blends the strategic and the practical, so you have a brand that works in the real world.
