My Story

Who Am I?

An expert in my field - and always learning.

My story crosses countries, cultures, industries, functions, and organizations and spans startups, nonprofits, and multi-billion dollar corporations.

In the early days of my career, I learned the ropes of Public Relations at Leo Kirch (the German media mogul), assisted the CMO of Computer 2000 AG (a leading provider of I.T. products in Europe at the time), and conducted my first competitive analysis for Cartier (the French jeweler). I went on to translate U.S. brand strategies into national lead generation marketing campaigns and go-to-market blueprints to fuel corporate sales for Tiffany & Co. in Germany, leading the Tiffany for Business division for several years. Later on, I spearheaded Marketing & Communications/P.R. for SEITZ - The Fresher Company; reinforcing their chemical brand of 125+ years through compelling creative direction and strategic, multi-channel B2B and D2C (DTC) demand marketing initiatives & advertising campaigns while acting as spokesperson in all public relations matters alongside the President & CEO.

Over the years, I have worn a hundred hats and gotten to know every corner of the entrepreneurial experience. I boosted the medical market advantage of a municipality of 20,000+ residents and launched a profitable fine jewelry business by shaping a stellar brand with a distinctive design - UNIQUE by DAGMAR TRIPPEN. Having a custom-made piece from UNIQUE reflecting their personality, current mindset, and lifestyle had intrinsic meaning to the discerning clientele in Europe and the U.S.

In 2011, I relocated from Germany to New York City to support a career opportunity for my spouse on an expatriate contract of 4 years while putting my jewelry business on hold. I spent these years acclimating my family to a new country, language, education system, and culture. Furthermore, I supported The Dwight School Foundation’s fundraising objectives and gained a significant understanding of stakeholder engagement and strategic advancement. I also took the opportunity to study at the Gemological Institute of America, acquiring several certifications in preparation for re-opening my jewelry business once I returned to Germany.

Expect the unexpected - I did not go back to Germany but stayed and became a proud U.S. citizen. In 2015, I launched my boutique consulting agency, providing customized branding, marketing & communications, public relations, fundraising, and business strategy services to clients in the U.S. and Europe.

Today, I transform strategic visions into transcendent brands and empower businesses and nonprofit organizations to grow (see my portfolio) while pursuing my Master’s in Media and Communications Management.

I am a member of the Public Relations Society of America, the Social Media Association, the American Marketing Association, and the ForbesWomen Forum, and - since charity and service to my community are central to my endeavors - an active volunteer in my local community.

Three Personal Details.

1.

I am a cosmopolite who has traveled 4 continents. Multi-cultural is in my DNA. Every trip taught me something.
Backpacking through Thailand, for example, taught me the serenity of waiting.

2.

I am certified in Systemic Constellation work, an experiential approach to mapping the hidden dynamics that often undermine family and organizational systems.
Knowing the right strategy is an easy task. However, getting the entire team to pull together is the true challenge!

3.

I am an avid Tango Argentine dancer. Tango Argentine was a universal lesson for me in connection, rhythm, and pace.
To be a good leader you have to be a good follower. Only when we sense our partners' capacity and capability and lead with our hearts can we tame our pace, get in tune, and build up from there.

When we are in sync,
we outperform.
